Voices from the participants

I'd also like to thank you all for the experience yesterday, such a lovely group with so many whole hearted people.

David, this was one of the most unique and awakening experience of my 'dance life' and I genuinely think that all dancers (and no dancers) could only grow from learning these 'basics' - if it is any basics at all to let the body feel without involving the mind... This is really the essence of dancing - with or without a partner... presence and curiosity within and about the other...

I also think the workshop was brilliantly built up to smoothly transition everyone into playing, feeling, flowing in a safe and trustworthy manner. Thank you for creating this space! 🙏❤️

“

A dance workshop can be incredibly valuable. But only when you understand what it is meant to do. If you are starting from zero, don’t build your learning around workshops. Build a foundation. Learn rhythm. Weight transfer. Connection. Coordination. Basic technique. Give your body enough repetition for these things to stop feeling foreign. That is what progressive dance training gives you. Then use workshops for what they are brilliant at: exploration. Experience different teachers. Discover new ideas. Challenge what you already know. Add new vocabulary, perspectives and possibilities to an existing foundation. A simple way to know what you need: If you are still trying to understand HOW to dance, you need training. If you already understand how to dance and want to discover WHAT ELSE is possible, explore workshops. And if your goal is simply to have fun for an evening, that is perfectly valid too. Just don’t confuse an enjoyable experience with skill development. The problem was never workshops. It was expecting exploration to replace education. Build first. Explore second. Enjoy both. Save this before choosing your next dance class or workshop. #DanceEducation #DanceTraining #DanceWorkshop #LearnToDance #DanceClasses SocialDancing DanceTips DanceTeacher

Den 7 november kör vi nästa ZOUK Embodiment – The Art of Connection i Malmö 🌿

📅 7 november, 15:00–18:00
📍 Malmö
💰 400 kr

Anmälan skickas in på hemsidan och all info hittar du här:
